ROLE

We’re looking for a passionate Video Editor with a sixth sense for what kinds of video will drop jaws and stop thumbs on social. You thrive in fast-paced environments and feel comfortable creating videos quickly and efficiently from start to end - from sourcing content (online or from our in-house studio) to putting on the finishing touches with text animations and motion graphics. Part editor, part animator, and part sound-design-aficionado, you’re the hands-on digital media nerd getting it done; mining clips for that visual gold that’ll open up engaging and innovative ways to tell stories.

 

You get the technical stuff (like motion content best practices and new editing techniques). You get the non-technical stuff (people and what moves them, no matter who they may be). And when it comes to creating original content, you’re figuratively bursting with ideas.  

 

We’ll depend on you to fuel our creativity with impactful social, digital, and brand activation campaigns across clients and channels, for video projects ranging from on-location or in-studio, to re-imagining existing footage, all while working hand-in-hand with our in-house Videographer and larger Creative team.

 

 

RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Working alongside various members of the Creative team to create video or film products

  • Helping in the production of write-ups, scripts, or storyboards to help sell in ideas and kick-off campaigns

  • Understanding marketing initiatives, strategic positioning and target audience, and producing final videos to match

  • Offering input to creative meetings and sharing ideas

  • Performing post-production duties in collaboration with our Videographer to produce final video

  • Inserting closed captioning, graphics, or other on-screen text into a video

  • Adding graphics and special effects to a video

  • Delivering projects within specified time frames

  • Keeping files, workflows, and production suite in an organized state

  • Developing knowledge of newest production techniques and best-in-class social content to deliver optimized footage

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Understanding of, and keen interest in creating stories about technology or the tech space in particular

  • Great communicator and problem solver

  • Strong editing skills utilizing After Effects and Premiere in particular (examples required)

  • Understanding of visual elements (layout, typography, hierarchy and composition)

  • A keen eye with meticulous attention to small details

  • Time management and multitasking abilities

  • Ability to see projects through from inception to production

  • Consistency regardless of project size

  • Inspirational and visionary with the self-drive to maintain and improve creative standards

  • Team player with flexibility to step in when needed on any project

  • Minimum 3 years experience

  • Agency or social media experience strongly preferred

  • Online portfolio with provided link
