Job Description


The Role

The employee is required to co-ordinate, monitor and manage a panel of third party Valuers and Auctioneers and to manage, interrogate and report on valuation reports received on Start’s property portfolio. 



Key Responsibilities:


  • Proactively manage the Valuations system, Valuers and ordering of Valuation Reports. 


  • Ensure all Valuers are on our panel and Insurances are in place. 


  • Manage the panel of Valuers to ensure optimum performance and appropriate up-to-date information, such as Professional Indemnity Insurance, is held on file.
  • Conduct reviews of members of the Valuer Panel.
  • Appoint and remove Valuers as appropriate.
  • Manage the process of valuation reports for Real Estate, ASU and Litigation Teams.
  • Interrogate received valuation reports to ensure accurate information on subject and comparative properties.
  • Ensure valuation reports are received in a timely manner and manage the flow of information between valuers and Start.
  • Point of liaison on all valuation related subjects with parent company.
  • Assist with Valuer Claims when necessary. 
  • Ad hoc projects as they arise

Experience required:

  • Minimum two years’ experience in a Residential Property Valuation / Estate Agency / Valuations Environment, valuing properties for sale nationwide.
  • Ability to manage and drive processes with third parties will be an essential element to this position.
  • Good communication, problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and follow through on tasks.
  • Drive, energy and an enthusiastic team player.
  • Good organisational skills and ability to plan and prioritise work.
  • Pro-active and problem-solving approach to work.
  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
  • Excellent PC skills (specifically in the use of databases and Excel).
  • Must have experience in a target driven environment, with ability to follow through on tasks.
