Job Description

You will provide copywriting, message development and conceptualization for highly visible, innovative Sales, Marketing and Corporate & client messaging projects and advertising. As a creative services writer, you will evaluate all submitted copy to ensure quality, brand integrity and appropriateness. You will be responsible to lead creative messaging strategy sessions for all major product launches and brand related campaigns and initiatives.

Job Details:

  • 4 year degree in Communications, English, Journalism and/or related field
  • 3 years of professional copywriting experience, specifically for business to business and corporate marketing programs
  • 2 years experience in agency environment as a creative writer
  • Excellent relationship and matrix management skills and the ability to motivate and inspire clients, co-workers and peers
  • Strong knowledge base in marketing concepts and strategies
  • Outstanding communicator with a pro-active enthusiastic approach
  • Ability to operate under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Exceptional persuasive and advertising writing skills
  • Superior ability to write compelling content that effectively targets the intended audience
  • Strong consulting, negotiating and influencing skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle many projects simultaneously must be able to meet aggressive deadlines for creative-driven work
  • Excellent people skills and flexibility in dealing with changing schedules and multiple points of view

Essential Functions:

Reviews and collaborates on all new concepts and major campaigns with the Director of Corporate Communication and Advertising from concept through production. Actively participates in all stages of the creative process.

Manages and directs copy writing created by internal or external copywriters to ensure all deliverables are consistent with project goals and consistent with corporate brand strategy.

Directs all copy produced within the department based on creative briefs developed for each project.

Collaborates with all internal departments to create enticing and innovative messages, consistent with business goals.

Ensures smooth and timely delivery of all writing services to internal clients.

Responsible for producing within budget and managing the QA process for scripted projects, including in house & client advertising, client training modules and video projects.

Provides copywriting / editing for highest-level creative print and marketing video projects.

Presents creative concepts and writing that accurately address marketing objectives.

Supports the creation and monitoring of and enforcement of all branding guidelines for all departments.

Provides leadership relating to processes and systems to expedite execution and delivery of creative work.

Follows and establishes processes, including adherence to legal, regulatory and corporate editorial standards.

Creates concepts, writes and produces scripted projects, including product / sales testimonials and corporate industry announcements.

Maintains an in-depth knowledge of in house corporate products & client services, strategies and operations, then applies that knowledge in developing communications deliverables.

Edits / proofs materials coming out of Creative Services and other areas as needed, reviewing for content accuracy, brand integrity and appropriateness of style and usage.

Applies knowledge of customer and business issues in developing and delivering projects
