The Boys & Girls Club of Green Bay offers a safe, inviting, place to learn and grow – all while having fun!


The Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Intern is responsible for supporting SEL efforts throughout the Clubhouse.  SEL Interns will both directly support youth, as well as provide critical feedback and guidance in advancing the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Green Bay’s efforts for further integration of SEL Core Competencies and TIC values into daily practices. 


  • Complete internship hours on a consistent basis as agreed upon by field supervisor.
  • Provide youth support through engagement, assessment, intervention, and evaluation techniques throughout the Clubhouse.
  • Utilize decompression room (Zen Den) daily for youth interventions, skill building, behavioral management, and tracking.
  • Provide support throughout Clubhouse to best support youth in meeting daily expectations by applying SEL Core Competencies and TIC values.
  • Provide case management services to youth as identified by Director of Social Emotional Learning.
  • Aid in the assessment of Clubhouse systematic needs and development of effective intervention techniques.
  • Engage Clubhouse staff, caregivers, school professionals, and outside agencies as appropriate to best support the needs our members.
  • Work closely with SEL Team.
  • Aid in the advancement of the Clubhouse culture to include further integration of SEL Core Competencies and TIC practice into daily operations.  


  • Associates, Bachelors, and/or Masters level coursework completed in at least 1 of the following areas: Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Counseling
  • Compassion, empathy, patience, flexibility, organization, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to remain calm and problem solve in the event of a crisis.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to manage behavioral challenges
  • Preferred:
    • Previous experience working with kids.
    • Knowledge/training in Trauma Informed Care.
