Job Description


The Program Manager will be responsible for the performance of multiple programs through all phases including design, development, build, test, integration and flight.  The person in this position will also contribute substantially to achieving business development goals and technical objectives for Parabilis.

  • Plan and execute multiple space-related programs.  Manage task status, financial performance, and contractual obligations for each program.  Develop and implement robust, scalable program management processes, practices, tools and systems in support of Parabilis growth and customers’ needs.
  • Coordinate with CEO to develop and update priorities and communicate them to the team. Coordinate with VP Engineering, Principle Investigators and Chief Engineers to assign engineers to multiple tasks across multiple programs; ensure that resources are utilized as efficiently and effectively as possible.  Coordinate with PIs/CEs to ensure that assignments, responsibilities and roles are clear to each engineer, and that each engineer is held accountable for task completion.
  • Serve as primary customer contact for program status and performance; provide customers with reports and information; proactively inform customer of program issues and technical challenges.  In collaboration with PIs/CEs; lead program review sessions with the customer to address cost, schedule, quality, and technical performance to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and manage subcontractor tasks and performance; leverage various internal resources to manage the Parabilis supply chain.
  • Contribute to business development work (B&P) as qualified and needed; may periodically perform direct engineering work as qualified and needed


The Program Manager reports to the CEO, is accountable to customers, and must closely communicate/collaborate with the Vice President of Engineering, Program Principle Investigators and/or Chief Engineers, and the Vice President of Finance.


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and approximately 6-12 years of engineering experience including approximately 3-6 years of aerospace program management experience
  • Understanding of requirements, processes, and documentation for space qualified parts and systems; ability to manage a program team through design, development, build, test, qualification, and flight
  • Ability to estimate, develop and manage program budgets, schedules, risk, and changes
  • Ability to lead matrixed program teams; demonstrate small group communication skills, and provide one-on-one feedback to technical employees
  • Ability to clearly set and assertively manage customer expectations through design, development, build, test, qualification, and flight
  • Ability to efficiently collect and analyze information, and make timely decisions regarding cost, schedule, and quality
  • Ability to multi-task; the person in this position must be able to manage multiple programs (with matrixed resources) at the same time
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • U.S. citizens or US person; although a security clearance is not currently required for this position the person hired for this position must be able to obtain a clearance if necessary
