This role is suited for a solo junior/midweight all-around creative who wants to step up in terms of creative ownership and responsibility, and join our fast-growing ideation department. Someone with a pro-active, cross-channel, ‘entrepreneurial’ approach to creative. Someone who is willing to roll their sleeves and get things done. Someone who is hungry for creative excellence and, ultimately, big awards.
We’re ideally looking for an art director or hybrid with strong conceptual skills. Someone who can articulate, visualize and present big ideas. A savvy and charismatic individual who combines business acumen, strategic thinking, cultural currency, creativity and passion to deliver big ideas to our clients.
This role is client facing, so we’re looking for someone with strong presentations skills.
You will work across our roaster of clients - Google, The North Face, Heathrow, Wella, Intel, Currys PC World, to name a few – as well as new business pitches and internal projects.
We’re not looking for people who fit in the mould. We want you to break the mould, innovate and change how things are done. Your approach should have one foot in today’s technologies and one in tomorrow’s possibilities.
1-2+ years of experience in an agency environment is required, as well as a portfolio of relevant work that taps into the latest social/digital trends - knowledge and passion in this space are a must-have.
Working across all areas of the agency, from the creation of social editorial to answering large scale campaign briefs, Ideators will help to inspire the conceptual process ensuring creativity is constantly fuelled. They will be plugged into the latest digital technologies and developments in social and able to inject this knowledge into ideas that are relevant to the client and the brief. Ideators will push all function representatives within account teams to innovate and think differently. They will be expert storytellers, able to translate ideas into compelling presentations for clients. They will plug into different accounts within their allocated HUBs ensuring fresh thinking on every brief.

1-2+ years of experience in an agency environment and a portfolio of relevant creative work (with a focus on digital and social) to show for it

Ideators will be naturally inquisitive and will have a thirst for life. Able to put themselves in the shoes of others, regardless of age, gender, race and culture. They will be able to look at the world through from a million different perspectives.
Ideators will be on the absolute edge of social and digital technology, following the constant progression and development in this space – they will be ‘the first to know’ in the agency and will want to empower others with the latest news. They will also be tuned into the different topical trends and memes that develop online. This awareness will constantly fuel their imagination.
Ideators will not ‘own’ idea generation at 1000heads, they are responsible for energising creativity and facilitating the creation of stunning ideas within a team. Therefore, they will be able to inspire those around them to think differently and bravely, fostering creative energy that is positive and adventurous.
An amazing storyteller
Able to grasp the high-level vision for an idea, Ideators are able to take the core of an idea and craft it into a compelling and detailed concept. This will entail creative writing, visualisation, script-writing and good old power-point creation. A solid grasp of the marketing mix and a strategic approach to communications planning is crucial to keep the creativity focussed. During this process Ideators will work with those around them to co-create the final proposal that is delivered to our clients.
Articulate and charismatic
Ideators will help teams to present and verbally bring to life our ideas and proposals. Gifted with a natural confidence and able to hold the attention of their audience. They will be the personification of the creative aspiration and collaborative spirit of the agency.
